Job Purpose (Job Summary):

Leverage from a global team to improve production stability and availability through the management of incidents, problems, urgent changes and threats with potential or actual business impact. Identify opportunities for improving the day-to-day operations of DTL team and organization.

 

Provide business analyst capabilities to service management and technology projects that Invesco has deemed important to the success of achieving their business goals.  To analyze business needs for efficient and cost-effective software systems and/or business processes and to facilitate the design, testing and implementation of systems in accordance with company methodology.

 

To provide quality review to service management and technology projects that Invesco has deemed important to the success of achieving their business goals.  Review and test recommended actions to ensure business needs for efficient and cost-effective software systems and/or business processes and to facilitate the design, testing and implementation of systems in accordance with company methodology.

 

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

Ensure coverage and support of all critical service management processes:

Incident ManagementProblem ManagementChange ManagementApplication EnhancementsGather and analyze information on existing business processes especially Investment or Financial related in order to make recommendations that seek to improve business systems and processes.

Provide business analysis during all phases of a project.

Experience with vendor management and working in a multi-sources environment.

Demonstrate use of iterative methodologies (preferably Agile)

Analyze and document requirements for enhancements to systems and / or business processes.

Clearly document solutions and recommendations to business problems.

Responsible for creating test cases, scripts and Agile stories for developed enhancements to systems and or business processes.

Perform user testing, ensuring issues are resolved in a pragmatic and appropriate manner

Responsible for automating functional testing and test scenario

Clearly document solutions and recommendations to business problems.

Work as part of a technology team, reporting progress and escalating issues to project management in a timely manner to ensure successful completion of assigned tasks.

Initiate follow-up actions to correct any problems or inefficiencies arising during execution of the Service Management Processes and highlight any issues or ideas of improvement to the Management Team.

Create and maintain documentation for systems and processes. 

Work Experience/Knowledge:

2 - 5 years of business analysis or quality assurance testing experience or other equivalent experience.

Understanding of end to end investment process flows for key entities such as Trades, Securities etc within Fixed Income and Equity asset classes.

Experience in Service Management an asset.

Understanding of Agile testing methods, practices and processes.

Understanding of test management (functional, regression and integration planning and tracking.

Experience with Vendor management and working in a multi-sources environment an asset.

Working Conditions

Normally works a regular schedule of hours, however hours may vary depending upon the project or assignment. 

Hours may include evenings and/or weekends and may include 24 hour a day on call support by pager and/or cell phone.

Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally.  Frequency and duration to be determined by manager.
