RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintains a clean, safe, hazard free work environment in the kitchen and designated areas. Stocks and organizes work areas, cutlery, glassware, china, and all other dishes. Performs other tasks as assigned by Chef and or Chief Steward Embrace all Delta Hotels Standards, Vision, and Core Values. All other related kitchen duties as assigned. Wash chinaware and glassware in the dishwasher Sort and wash all cutlery Proper use and storage of chemicals Keep area clean at all times - e.g. sweep and mop as needed Ensure handling of tableware is safe to reduce breakage Wash all pots and properly store them. Report all safety hazards and reduce accidents Setting up function requests e.g. plate orders, chaffing dishes Other duties as assigned EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Experience in large kitchen cooking environments. Able to work as a team member. Able to learn quickly in a fast working environment. Flexible, must be willing to work a variety of hours, based on the business needs. Must be able to stand for long period of times, and lift up to 30lbs-50 lbs.
