ATELKA, the largest independent customer contact center in Canada is looking for a Network Administrator, in Charlottetown, who wishes to contribute to the success of the company. ATELKA offers a complete range of customer care, telemarketing and back office services to large Canadian companies. Our business solutions are bilingual and cover all existing client contact platforms. ATELKA currently employs more than 2,000 people across eight sites in Quebec, Ontario, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.

This role reports to the Director, Information Technology.


Manage the Atelka network and associated telecommunications equipment

Manage and ensure adequate infrastructure support

Participate in technology implementation as part of new projects

Provide internal expertise to support Team members

Perform installation, configuration and daily operational support of our networks

Work closely with the Team to diagnose and resolve problems related to network failures

 Desired competencies:

Extensive experience in project design, implementation and integration of technological components for telecommunications, IP and wireless solutions

Strong knowledge of Cisco technologies

Excellent communication skills (oral and written)

A thorough understanding of existing technologies and the ability to keep abreast of new technological trends

Experience in network security, performing monitoring, operation and maintenance of the equipment software

VPN experience


Telecommunications expertise

Experience with switches, routers and Firewalls

Strong analytical, synthesis and organizational skills

7+ years experience with IP networks and Cisco products (theoretical and practical knowledge)

Cisco Training CCNA or CCNP recognized or equivalent experience

Autonomous and self directed individual
