ATELKA, the largest independent customer contact center in Canada is looking for a System Administrator, in Charlottetown, who wishes to contribute to the success of the company. ATELKA offers a complete range of customer care, telemarketing and back office services to large Canadian companies. Our business solutions are bilingual and cover all existing client contact platforms. ATELKA currently employs more than 2,000 people across eight sites in Quebec, Ontario, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.

Reporting to the Director of IT, the System Administrator is responsible for internal servers and enterprise infrastructure. The ideal candidate is proactive, dynamic, creative, honest and passionate. The successful incumbent will work autonomously, demonstrating his/her initiative, to improve and maintain the systems.


Work with the Operations Teams to deliver new functionality to internal & external clients

Prioritize and manage daily requests

Participation in multiple interdepartmental projects

Monitors technology performance

Maintain up to date documentation

Acts as a support escalation point for problem resolution


Minimum 7 years experience in Linux & 5 years of Windows server administration

Bachelor’s degree, diploma or equivalent in Information Technology

Excellent knowledge of the following services: Asterisk/ Apache/ PHP/ MySQL

Excellent knowledge of the following: MS Windows AD / DNS/ DHCP/ LDAP

Working knowledge of the following technologies: VmWare/ OpenStack/ VoIP/ IDS


Working Conditions:

Due to the 24/7 nature of the business and industry the Systems Administrator requires a flexible schedule, including server monitoring and on call status.
