Technicians, Integrated Supply Chain - Slemon Park PEI - 252995
We are actively seeking a Technician to work in the Integrated Supply Chain at our Slemon Park facility. Reporting to the Supervisors ISC, you will be in charge of repair, overhaul, modification, test, diagnosis and inspection faults of electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical assemblies, and sub-assemblies, of aircraft mechanical and hydraulic fuel and oil systems which have already been removed from the aircraft. The ISC Technician is responsible for repair, overhaul, modification, test, diagnosis and inspection faults of electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical assemblies, and sub-assemblies, of aircraft mechanical and hydraulic fuel and oil systems which have already been removed from the aircraft. Conducting process improvement activities using six sigma tools. Problem solving and collaborating with operations team, engineering, and quality to resolve issues. Interpreting manuals for process applicability and performance.
Interpret Component Maintenance and Overhaul Manuals, Service Bulletins, customer requirements, and other technical data approved by the administrator required to perform the repair and overhaul duties at an expert level
Perform a preliminary inspection of the unit to include fault isolation, disassembly, cleaning and component inspection
Determine the material and order parts required for maintenance
Repair/overhaul and assemble the unit in accordance with required technical data to return the unit to service
Perform final test of unit in accordance with approved data to determine eligibility for return to service
Prioritize and process units in order to meet customer due date coordinating the resources (people and tools) and material as necessary while considering the lag times of ach process
Prepare and maintain all detailed repair, inspection and certification records and reports pertaining to his/her work using the applicable data capturing process
Process units in accordance with Quality Management System and Repair Station/Quality Manual (Maintenance Policy Manual)
Train and mentor employees on processes, procedures, and products
Identify opportunities and solutions to leadership regarding process improvement opportunities or potential risks
Be involved in investigations related to product failures, escapes, defects, and low time removalsBasic Qualifications:
Ability to read, write, and speak the English languageAdditional Qualifications:
3+ months of experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong mechanical aptitude
Demonstrated PC skills, a major asset
Ability to lead actions to completion
Adaptable in a fast paced changing environment
Rapid, logical reasonable thinking under pressure to meet performance objectives and execute multiple roles and tasks relative to the achievement of team goals
Strong communication skills with ability to communicate to a variety of audiences
Ability to champion change
